POWERFUL PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION & MOISTURE: Ströbel topdry® desiccants ensure ideal shipping & storage conditions according to DIN 55473 and protect moisture-sensitive goods. Ströbel topdry® desiccant bags feature dust-proof wrapping and are filled with bentonite, a natural product. Bentonite absorbs about 6 grams of water vapour per DU at a relative humidity of 40%. Ströbel topdry® is available in small to large sizes. Desiccants are traded in so-called desiccant units (DU). 1 DU unit absorbs approx. 6 g of water vapour. We are happy to calculate the exact desiccant requirement for you. Important for the calculation are a) the storage & shipping time and b) the water vapour permeability of the barrier layer! Without a high-quality barrier film, desiccants are practically ineffective. Unhindered moisture would saturate and eventually overload the dry packaging. THEREFORE...

How to correctly pack with Ströbel TOPDRY® DESICCANTS BAGS and the dessicant method.

1. LAY DOWN

THE OPTIONAL BOTTOM SHEET

The bottom sheet is necessary for sealing from below.

2. PLACE AND BOLT DOWN YOUR MACHINE

THEN ADD DESSICANTS

If possible, desiccants should be placed in the upper section of the packaging to avoid condensation. We are happy to calculate the correct quantity for you.

4. SEALING

BOTTOM SHEET AND COVER ARE WELDED TOGETHER

Towards the end of the process, though the last small last opening, approx. 70% of the remaining air is vacuumed out of the packaging in order to still ensure sufficient air circulation. Afterwards the cover is sealed completely.

ALL DONE

THE STRÖBEL PROTECTIVE ATMOSPHERE IS ACTIVATED

Our strong barrier film and Ströbel topdry® desiccants now regulate the humidity inside the packaging and protect against corrosion and many other influences for up to 10 years.
