ENQUIRE NOW

„ The ShockWatch® label consists of a poweful adhesive sticker with a precision glass tube sensor. If the defined impact force of the ShockWatch® is exceeded, the surface tension of the warning liquid breaks and irrevocably colors the indicator red. Each ShockWatch® label is provided with an individual serial number, which prevents manipulation.... ”

When the indicator turns red ...

This red indicator cannot be reversed. It is immediately obvious that your product has been handled improperly. Packages with a non-activated (= WHITE) indicator have normally survived transport without damage. Your customer's incoming goods inspection can focus on packages with activated (= RED) indicators.

Note

Under certain circumstances, it is possible that damage has occurred without the indicator having been activated. Likewise, it is possible that an indicator has turned red without any damage having occurred to the packaged goods.

The freight process in 5 steps

How to integrate Shockwatch® Label into your shipping concept

1.

Shipper attaches the Shockwatch® Label indicator
and warning sticker on the packaging

2.

Carrier acknowledges integrity of the indicator
on receipt of the goods

3.

The receiver's warehouse
checks the indicator on delivery.

4.

Carrier must confirm a triggered or
missing indicator on delivery and does not receive a clean receipt

5.

After a thorough inspection of the product
a release or transport damage claim is issued

STRÖBEL IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Be sure to share the following information with your clients:

SENDER: record serial number

Each Shockwatch® Labell has its own serial number. simply make a note of it in your documents and check afterwards whether a replacement of the indicator can be ruled out in case of suspected tampering.

Inspect the indicator. Accept the goods even though the indicator is activated (triggered).

RECEIVER: record status

Note the colour change of the Shockwatch® Label in the delivery papers and have the carrier confirm it on the shipping document. This is the only way you can report damage to the carrier.

If you notice damage to the goods, leave them in the original packaging and ask for immediate inspection by the carrier.

RECEIVER: ensure compensation claims against third parties!

Road transport:
signed confirmation by the driver or carrier on the original waybill with company details and lorry registration number.
Rail transport:
recording & confirmation of facts with deutsche bahn ag

How to attach

Correct placement

Shockwatch® Label Indicators should always be placed on the long side towards the corner of the packaged goods. The recommended height is approx. 10-20 cm from the bottom of the pallet or package.

Never place Shockwatch® Label indicators on the top or in the middle of the side wall. These sides can have high vibrations which may cause the shock indicator to be triggered.

It's this easy

  • stick the large warning sticker on the packaged goods
  • stick the Shockwatch® Label Indicator on the marked field on the warning label
  • stick the delivery note sticker on your outgoing delivery note
  • write the serial number of the ShockWatch® Indicator on the shipping documents
  • apply the optional warning tape

Multiple Shockwatch?

The best control is achieved by attaching two ShockWatch® indicators. For transport goods of approx. 1.00 m edge length and above, you must use one ShockWatch® indicator on each of the diagonally opposite sides at the same distance from the floor.

For tall packages, it is recommended to place a ShockWatch® indicator at an upper corner of the package to register impacts at the upper edge.
